• Brynn Williams: The Power of Choice
    Sep 21 2024

In this refreshing episode I talk with friend and fellow podcast host, Brynn Williams, who has some valuable insights about breaking free from comparisons and instead, choosing the experiences and values that bring us personal meaning. I loved hearing about her example in setting her own rules and embracing what truly fulfills her and seeking for failure, and I think you will too. I hope you leave feeling empowered to define your own journey and focus on what matters most to you. As always leave a review if anything resonated :)

ALSO go check out her podcast named His Prints on Spotify.

  • Question Your Values
    Sep 12 2024

Have you ever stopped to question whether what you are doing is truly a result of your desires? In this episode, I dive into the process of discovering what you actually want in life by questioning your values. Drawing from personal stories and René Girard’s memetic theory, I explore how our desires are often shaped by others and why finding clarity in our values is key to a more stable and fulfilling life. I also share practical tips on how to uncover your true priorities, recognize when something feels off, and the courage it takes to listen to your inner voice. Whether you’re a parent, a student, or just navigating life’s noise, anyone should find benefit in the reminder to know your why better.

I hope you walk away with a clearer sense of self and the tools to create a more purposeful path forward! :)

  • The Skill of Saying No
    Aug 16 2024

We’re all too familiar being pulled in a million different directions. Our time and energy slowly slip away, spent on things that don’t truly matter, until we wind up feeling dissatisfied with how things turned out. In this episode, I dive into the empowering skill of saying no—a simple word that can transform your life by helping you prioritize what’s truly important.

We’ll briefly explore why it’s so hard to say no, unraveling the fears of awkwardness, loss, and people-pleasing that often hold us back. I’ll also share practical strategies to help you navigate these challenges with confidence, turning "no" into a positive force for setting boundaries and reclaiming your freedom. The skill of saying no if you want to craft your life how you want it to be is vital. I hope the ideas, paradigms and strategies in this episode can help us all say and receive no in better ways.

If something resonated, feel free to leave a review. It only takes 21 seconds to rate it by stars(yes I timed it) and only takes 58 to write something small along with it. Now assuming you follow general dental hygienic practices, you could have typed two whole reviews in the same amount of time it takes to brush your teeth :D

    Thanks for listening everyone!

  • Can We Control Meaning In Our Lives?
    Aug 7 2024

There have been many instances where I either don’t feel very fulfilled from something that would typically bring fulfillment or I feel fulfilled from small and simple things that one would not expect to get fulfillment from. This begs the question, do we really have control over the fulfillment and meaning we feel in our lives? Today, I dive into this topic and give insight into what the answer to this question may be. I hope you leave feeling more inspired and uplifted than before listening :)

It would mean a lot if you left a review. It only takes 21 seconds to give it some stars (yes I timed it) and only takes 58 to write something small. • Gabe Henderson: Campomelic Dysplasia, Wheelchair Basketball and Reimagining What’s Possible
    May 25 2024

Gabe is a friend of mine who has Campomelic Dysplasia. CD is a rare skeletal disorder that can cause a variety of defects, including bowed long bones, clubfeet, and a cleft palate. Those affected rarely live beyond 1 year of age. After talking about his oncoming collegiate athlete career for wheelchair basketball at Southwest Minnesota State University, I got to hear him talk about his life experience with his condition. I was very inspired by his example of not letting circumstances dictate his life and believing in more than what would be normal to believe in. Worth a listen for sure!
