  • Walking the Path of Recovery: A Story of Faith and Healing

    In this episode we are joined by David (Davey) Harper. Davey opens up about his journey from addiction to redemption, emphasizing the significance of relationships and the power of embracing brokenness. Growing up in a challenging environment, Davey's life took a dark turn as he fell into addiction, which lasted for 16 years. However, through the support of a church community and a Christian rehab program, he found hope and a new purpose. Now, Davey works for Glasgow City Mission, using his own experiences to connect with and support others struggling with addiction and homelessness. He believes in building genuine relationships and creating a sense of belonging, helping individuals on their journey to recovery and transformation.

Harriett opens up about her rebellious teenage years, her experience of struggling with food and body image and how she eventually found her way back to God. Harriett’s story is one of hope for anyone who has a difficult relationship with food or body image. Through intuitive eating, self-compassion and seeing herself through God’s eyes, Harriett found freedom from diet-culture and now she helps others do the same.
