    On November 22, 1963, one of the most shocking events in American history took place. President John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, while riding in a motorcade through Dealey Plaza.

The President was rushed to Parkland Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:00 PM. He had been shot twice, once in the head and once in the neck, with the fatal shot being the one to his head.

    The alleged assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, was arrested shortly after the shooting and charged with the murder of President Kennedy.
