  • Episode 21 - The First Omen
    Nov 21 2024

This week we recapped The First Omen (2024), directed by Arkasha Stevenson, as part of our best of 2024 wrap-up.

We're here for this feminist prequel to the 1976 classic, The Omen, despite a few issues with the ending.

    Highlights include:

    • We got no beef with Sweeney!
    • Another Satan theme? Check out our other two recent Satan episodes to form an unholy trinity: Longlegs (episode 20), and Late Night with the Devil (episode 18)
    • You want the p*ssy? You can't handle the p*ssy!
    • No eyebrows is how you know they're a pyscho
    • The most awkward hug

  • Episode 20 - Longlegs
    Nov 14 2024
This week we recapped Osgood 'Oz' Perkin's Longlegs. What a a treat it was recapping this movie, it felt like a story time around the campfire. A top contender for our Best of 2024, we loved this movie, the cast and the underlying feeling of dread throughout.

  • Episode 19 - Oddity
    Nov 7 2024
This week we recapped Damian McCarthy's Oddity. We absolutely loved this dread-filled gem, and we might still be recovering from THAT jump scare. A masterclass in storytelling and tension-building, this is definitely a contender for our fave 2024 horror.

Happy Spooky Season! This week we recapped Late Night with the Devil, a 2024 horror directed by brothers Cameron and Colin Cairnes. This is our final episode of our Halloween theme, and it's a mixed bag of reviews for this one.

Have we decided on our Halloween outfits yet? Nope, but we're dedicated to the cause!

  • Episode 17 - Terrifier
    Oct 24 2024

This week we recapped Terrifier, the 2016 independent slasher film written and directed by Damien Leone, as part of our Halloween theme.

Highlights include theories on the bleak and heartwrenching reality of our current times, Art the Clown's rise to mainstream media and our not-so-final decision on our Halloween outfits! (Maybe a Morticia X Quasimodo hybrid 'fit?)

  • Episode 16 - Idle Hands
    Oct 17 2024

This week we recapped the 90s slacker classic, Idle Hands, as part of our Halloween theme.

Highlights include musings on how bad this kid must have smelled, coming to terms with the fact that we're apparently old, dusty, crusty, and musty, and going completely off the rails once again on the topic of sexy Quasimodo.

  • Episode 15 - Trick r Treat
    Oct 10 2024

This week we recapped Trick r Treat, a Halloween classic written and directed by Michael Dougherty. This movie is made of Halloween vibes - it's the perfect watch for getting into the spirit of spooky season. Join us for perhaps our most chaotic (in a good way) episode yet, where we recap each story in this gruesome anthology. Highlights include:

    • Sexy Quasimodo costumes
    • If you don't fw Halloween, you can't sit with us
    • The "nature special" tape makes us feel sad
    • Why is there always so much puke
    • Justice for Spite the dog

  • Episode 14 - Ginger Snaps
    Oct 3 2024

We're kicking off spooky season and our Halloween theme with the 2000 classic, Ginger Snaps, directed by John Fawcett and written by Karen Walton.

Sure, it's about werewolves, but it's also about the hell of being a teenage girl, sisterhood, and the oh-so-2000s nightmare of suburban angst. We loved Katherine Isabelle and Emily Perkins' performances, and as weird girls ourselves - hard relate. Justice for Mrs Fitzgerald though, a ride or die mama!
