Worth the time
Her story is already naturally intriguing and she could have let that be enough but she did the work of talking to others and including their stories as well. I listened straight through. Very interesting.

What an amazing writer. It isn't easy to speak so eloquently about your own experience. Her story has stayed with me.

The Truth Heals
Georgina has always suspected she may not be the biological child of her father. After he passes, she investigates the truth about her biological differences using DNA analysis. Her empathy towards her mother is evident as the secret is revealed. The story offers insights on the power of parental love and Georgina show grace and courage as she uncovers her true self. I hope she continues this podcast to weave in her biological father's story as she discovers it. It is a fascinating story captivating me as it unfolded.

An African American searching for my motherland
I knew my parents and grandparents et cetera. However to be an African American is quite vague. Africa is not a country Africa is a continent the largest continent in the world. I did the DNA test because I wanted to know what country I was from. What country was my homeland. To be African American means to be of any shade of skin tone. The DNA results Indicate my ancestors are from Togo, Benign, Congo and a scattering of European countries. I do have some satisfaction knowing my ancestors are from West Africa. Which I knew knowing the history of how our people were enslaved and brought here. I do have my degree in Panafican studies and and have learned to speak kiSwahili. I've traveled to West Africa More specifically Egypt. I plan to visit the west coast on my search for my motherland, my people. Myra Ibiyonun La Motte

For those interested in genetics and race this is definitely a must listen! It was fascinating hearing the authors experience and the psychology around her family and how they dealt with this huge secret.

Edge of your seat
Georgina has done a great job narrating and interviewing others on a topic that is not only personal to her but so personal and an almost unknown commonality to so many others out there. When listening to her journey, she really brings the audience in such a way that goes beyond realism and is educating others to how society is evolving from something that started decades ago and how it has evolved and changed so many lives out there.
