Frederick Starr about the work and the lives of Ibn Sina (aka Avicenna) and Biruni, their contributions to science and culture, and the reason they outright despised each other.

Incredible and accessible middle ages!

Danielle is a delight to hear every week, and it's always great to hear from Peter at the end of every episode. I'm so grateful to these two, especially Danielle, for teaching me so much about the middle ages over the years. The awesome guests and Danielle's instant warmth and easy rapport makes the information easy to comprehend and absorb, and everyone's enthusiasm for the subject and study of all things medieval is positively infectious! Keep up the incredible work!

the narrator has a voice that radiates a smile. I could listen to her read a phone book.
