The Greatest Commandment - Part 2

  • Summary

  • July 8, 2024, Church Service: The Greatest Commandment:

    Scripture Focus:

Matthew 22:36-37 “TEACHER WHAT IS THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT IN THE LAW. HE SAID, “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.””

1 John 5:2-3 “By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome” and John 14:15 “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”

Matthew 22:39 “The second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 9:12 “But when Jesus heard this, He said, It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.”)

John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Luke 22:42 “saying, Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me…”

2 Corinthians 5:21: “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become righteousness of God in Him”.)

Matthew 27:26 “About the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying ELI, ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?” that is My God, My God Why Have You Forsaken Me?

50, “And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up His spirit.” Even though we see Jesus’s human anguish in the first part of Luke 22:42, the remaining verse reads “…yet not My will, but Yours be done.”

Phillipians 2:5-8 “Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bondservant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”

Job1:8 and 2:3 “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil”).

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”)
