This podcast focuses on research into the dynamics of online scandals done by students in the Master's program Film and Media Studies at the University of Copenhagen. In their own projects, they explored how online scandals function as reminders of public values and serve a democratic purpose by shedding light on moral transgressions, systemic injustices, and controversial social issues. The podcast will discuss different topics, such as: What influence do parasocial relationships have on the public’s reaction to scandals? And is deplatforming a way of controlling scandals online? Find out all about it in the one-time “Fantastic Podcast about Scandals”. The podcast is produced by August Valdemar Lavtsen, Mads Hjort of Theis Mitchell. In collaboration with Manuel Menke and the Section of Media Studies at the University of Copenhagen.
