  • 07 - "Not Sure Why I Haven't Fallen, I Am Not That Good of a Person" (w/ Pastor Naeem Fazal)
    Jul 9 2024

Naeem Fazal, former Seacoast Pastor and current Pastor of Mosaic Church in Charlotte has a comfort level with Greg Surratt, given he served in ministry under Greg's leadership at Seacoast for numerous years. Naeem in real life considers both Greg and Chip as guys he's all ears to learn from, especially with them having traveled a bit further down the road of experience.

On this episode, Naeem agrees to answer questions about his personal life and share current areas of personal strengths and weaknesses. He also comes to the table to hit Greg and Chip up for advice. He might as well make it worth his time, right? Through the episode, Naeem shares some ministry regrets and how hard the journey has been, he highlights how he has seen God's grace at work in sustaining him and shares some thoughts he's been processing about how to live as a new fifty-year old. The four also discuss pastoral transitions and some necessary ingredients for them to be a success.

  • 06 - Some Have Real Barriers to Healthy Living and Some People Are Too Disciplined
    Jun 18 2024

"Living well and finishing strong" doesn't just happen. There's hard work involved and for some people, the task feels impossible. Greg and Chip give their takes on these sorts of difficult seasons as well as some insight on leadership challenges one may encounter, including leading teams made of some unhappy people and scenarios when "being oneself" may cost a well-deserved promotion.

On a lighter side of the episode, how would you answer these questions? "If you had to eat from only one food group, which one would you choose?" "If you could have an answer to any question about any mystery, what question would you want answered?" If you could choose a lifetime of physical health or a lifelong $25K/month allowance, which would you choose? The duo takes a stab at all three.

  • 05 - Building Resilient Teams and Ministering from a Healthy Place
    Jun 5 2024

[These conversations are based largely on The Endurance Factor Book, co-authored by Greg and Chip]

After hearing Artificial Intelligence versions of themselves on air, Pastors Greg and Chip Judd discuss the mind-boggling implications on a future with A.I. The two then discuss some practical and deeper components of building healthy teams and why striving to establish a family atmosphere is key. Chip shares his initial reactions to Greg's style of leadership years ago when he arrived at Seacoast Church for the first time, the two discuss the difference between acknowledging pain as opposed to flat out complaining, they both share some current weaknesses they are trying to get better in, and reflect on the beauty and pain of being pruned by God and why the process is needed for one's capacity to minister from a healthy place.
