Ed Kemper is one of the well-known serial killers in American history. His story, and parts of it, have been used in pop-culture for the basis of fictional characters in books and movies, but often the severity of his crimes is understated. Truth is stranger than fiction, the saying goes. While this applies to so many things, the entire Mark Twain quote is a better summation of Ed Kemper’s life and crimes.
