enjoyable at work

I enjoyed it the first part of the book better than the end, but then I was invested in the characters I wanted to see it through. Good to listen to while working.

First Season is Good

The first season is really good & the actors are fantastic. Season 2 takes a turn that anyone to the right of anarchists & Just Stop Oil groupies will find annoying. It tripped over into negative tropes of anyone not 1000 percent in on the green new world agenda. Religion, non-communist/socialist governments, military, science, and practicalists are all just tropes. Oddly, there are still plenty of guns - it’s the one leftist target that seemingly escaped base tripe/trope. Also, Lucian and Maria are super annoying by season 3.

Incredible

What a great story line, an extremely realistic view of what we would likely face in the event of the 'end'. Not overly political, but with just enough to make it realistic in todays world. Well told, well written. A great listen.

Sophomoric and tedious

I tried. I really tried to give it a fair chance. But it's just... boring. And cringey. A whole lot of work went into this, so I feel terrible being mean about what seems to be a serious effort to tell a story, but it's really that hard to listen to.

I will say that the people complaining that it's political must be really looking for a bone to pick. If there's a political agenda here, it's too vague and contradictory to make sense.
