At a glance, most people think that the focus is language; that the commandment is addressing using swear words. The command is less about language and more about honoring God and understanding the significance of His name. For those who are Christians, we bear His name. Because of that, our conduct matters! As a Christian, or "little Christ," we have a responsibility to reflect who Jesus is.
