THE SISTERHOOD: The Hollywood Pimp’s Survivors Speak Out

  • Summary

  • Just a heads up: This episode contains discussions of grooming, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Some may find it upsetting. We encourage you to take care of yourself. What happens when you share your truth? What happens when you share your survivor story on social media? More people come forward. Last episode, our guest Ariel Lyndsey shared how she was SA’ed at an audition by two men. This past June, she posted about it on Instagram and now there is a survivor sisters group chat – where they all share similar experiences that span over 10 years. Today, Lisa welcomes sisters, Aubrey and Amber, who are in the survivor sisters' group chat with Ariel. They tell the story of why they have left the entertainment industry and how a social media post calling out their abuser made them realize they aren’t alone. Today, they are reclaiming their power by sharing their own stories. We are humbled and honored to hold this space for them to share their stories. This episode is about how serial predators are calculated in their grooming tactics. They create a cycle of hope and disappointment, trust and betrayal. This episode is also about the power of telling your story. It will change lives, ultimately bringing safety to others. From now on we are going to speak our truth, trust our guts, have courage, and do research. From Now On is produced by LA PHILLIPS MEDIA. Listen and follow on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube.
