  • Why You Should Never Try to Win an Argument with Jefferson Fisher
    Apr 1 2025
If you're always trying to win every argument, you're losing something even more valuable. That’s the core of what Jefferson Fisher and I get into on this thought provoking episode. I sought Jefferson out because he doesn’t teach communication like anybody else. He’s not just sharing fluffy ideas—he’s equipping you with real, specific language that will change how you lead, how you listen, and how you handle conflict. We talk about what happens when you're in a conversation with someone who constantly needs control, someone who dominates, picks on you, or flat out disrespects your boundaries. Jefferson explains how to take the remote control out of their hands and hand them the manual for how to engage with you instead. That’s when you start reclaiming your peace and your power. We unpack how silence is the ultimate signal of confidence. Not yelling. Not overpowering. Silence. The best communicators and the best leaders don’t rush—because confidence isn’t loud, it’s steady. If you’ve ever struggled with pacing your words, managing emotions in heated moments, or just knowing when and how to end a conversation, this is your masterclass. And if you've been allowing certain communication patterns in your life for years—letting people talk to you in ways you know you shouldn’t tolerate—Jefferson gives you the language to change that dynamic today. Not tomorrow. Not after another fight. Right now. Key Takeaways: • Why trying to “win” every argument costs you connection, influence, and respect • How to reset boundaries—even after years of tolerating unhealthy communication • What to say when someone gets passive-aggressive, disrespectful, or flat-out rude • The secret to controlling the pace of a conversation—especially when emotions run high • How silence, tone, and timing can make you a more effective communicator and leader This is one of those episodes you’ll want to replay with a notepad. Jefferson’s wisdom will help you be more respected at work, more present in your relationships, and more in control of how you show up in every conversation. In this Mashup episode, I brought together some of the most brilliant minds in neuroscience and psychology to give you the practical tools and strategies to finally take back control of your thoughts—and your life. You’ll hear from Dr. Caroline Leaf, Dr. Amishi Jha, Dr. Daniel Amen, and Dr. Andrew Huberman as we unpack the science of rewiring your brain, building awareness, and developing the mental strength to break free from anxiety, stress, and distraction. I walk through the exact five-step process of Dr. Leaf’s Neurocycle—a mental workout that rewires your thinking in just 63 days. I’ve been using parts of this myself and it’s a game-changer. And this isn’t just for trauma healing. Whether you’re battling depression or trying to reach a new level in your life, these five steps—gathering awareness, reflecting, writing, rechecking, and taking action—can help you create lasting change. We even break down how to use this cycle to achieve your goals by creating the right emotional triggers and visual cues. Dr. Huberman and Dr. Amen dive into how your brain actually works—when it develops, how dopamine drives performance, and why your habits and physical activity shape your mental clarity. We talk about why movement isn’t just good for your body—it’s crucial for mental health. Dr. Jha then takes us into the power of attention training, helping us understand why mindfulness isn’t about controlling your thoughts, but becoming aware of where your attention really is. That’s where your power lives. We also take on parenting, screen time, trauma, and even sleep—and how all of it ties back to mind management. And I get personal, sharing the visualization technique I teach my athletes—starting with real, emotional memories to make future goals feel real in your brain. Key Takeaways: - The 5-step Neurocycle to break negative thought patterns - How to train your brain for attention and focus in just 12 minutes a day - The connection between movement and mental clarity - The science of dopamine and why the pursuit matters more than the achievement - A practical prayer-based approach to help your children sleep and open up emotionally - Why your brain doesn’t finish developing until 25—and what that means for parents - How social media impacts emotional regulation and what to do about it There’s no perfect mind, but there is a better way to manage it. This episode is packed with tools you can use right now to shift how you think, feel, and show up. Whether you're healing from pain or hungry to create something new, you’ll walk away equipped to change your brain and your life. • Why Energy Is the Secret Weapon of High Achievers
    Mar 27 2025
“Stop Negotiating With Yourself” What if the biggest thing holding you back isn’t the world—but the deal you keep cutting with yourself? In this episode, I get real about the mindset gap between average and extraordinary. It’s not about tactics or hacks—it’s energy. The truth is, the most successful people I know are fueled by something different. They’re in a bigger hurry. They bring a different intensity. They don’t just react to life—they use it. Pain, doubt, rejection—it’s all fuel. And if you’re ready to go to the next level, it’s time to stop letting life happen to you and start making it happen because of you. This is a wake-up call. Your energy is either lifting people or leaving them cold. Your pace is either moving the needle or stalling your dreams. The world doesn’t reward the most prepared—it rewards the ones who show up with presence, urgency, and an unshakable belief in who they can become. You’re not here to conform. You’re here to compete—to fight for your future and prove yourself right. I’m challenging you today. Raise your standard. Compete harder. Delay gratification. Move faster. And for the love of God, stop negotiating with the greatest version of you. Because that version? They’re waiting for you to finally act like the person you were born to be. Key Takeaways: Why energy—not strategy—is the real game changer How to use adversity as fuel, not an excuse The dangers of negotiating with yourself Why urgency and delayed gratification go hand in hand What it really means to be “unreasonable” in pursuit of greatness The one mindset shift that separates the average from the elite You weren’t born to live a clearance-rack life. You were born to max out. 👉 SUBSCRIBE TO ED'S YOUTUBE CHANNEL NOW 👈 → → → CONNECT WITH ED MYLETT ON SOCIAL MEDIA: ← ← ← ➡️ INSTAGRAM ➡️FACEBOOK ➡️ LINKEDIN ➡️ X / TWITTER ➡️ WEBSITE Learn more about your ad choices. Hits just keep on coming!

Ed never fails to get interesting guests on his show. I'll think to myself "hmm, never heard of this person," then I'll listen and it will be great. example. I'm not a fan of football, but listened to the Stephen A. Smith episode and it was great!

excellent episode!

I hope you, Ed Mylett, got as much going I did out of this episode 2 1/2 years later, as the economy is circling the drain with a socialist president asleep at the wheel.

God bless all conservatives!

Introspection and creation

Ed has the incredible ability to cause introspection within the listener, to dig deep with what they know true in their heart and figure out what action they can do the create the life they were born to create.
It’s awesome to have access to some of the most influential and powerful leaders in a wide array of fields.
So powerful, if you let it!

wow! just wow!

Tim Tebow's interview literally saved my sanity. Saying I am grateful to have heard this interview in under-stating how I feel. Also this is one interview where Ed let the guest lead us with his words, wisdom and encouragement. Thank you Ed for this program. You are saving lives.

Ed is my inspiration to Max Out my life!

Ed Mylett has developed into the type of leader, mentor and Christian that I would confidently walk into a fire with trusting his heart to lead me to safety. I too am a sinner saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, who is looking to serve more people for the greater good. Thank You Brother for lighting the way for those of us still walking through the darkness!
