When Betsy Broadman and I began discussing her vision of TAKE TWO I never imagined that I would deeply and sincerely fall in love with her guests, and Will McFarlane has me mesmerized. I welcome you all to listen to this podcast and share it and re-listen to it again. His talent is amazing and he is so down to earth...Play me some riffs please...

"Will McFarlane has been playing guitar for more than forty years. His music encompasses blues, country, folk and rock ‘n' roll. In 1980, after six years of touring and recording with Bonnie Raitt, McFarlane moved to Muscle Shoals, where he played with the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section on records for Etta James, Bobby Blue Bland, Little Milton and Johnny Taylor. McFarlane continues to record and perform in Muscle Shoals, Nashville and around the country. He was inducted into the Musicians’ Hall of Fame in Nashville for his work with the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section."

Betsy shares her stories of a trail of musical events, happenings and the personalities she met along the way and Will McFarlane is one of those personalities.

What a remarkable conversational podcast with host Betsy Broadman. Paul Wexler is the son of Jerry Wexler - Jerry Wexler was one of the great music business pioneers of the 20th century: he co-headed of Atlantic Records from 1953 to '75. Paul shares some memories from that time in his life and the musical influences that may have shaped him into the musician he is today. Now based on the West Coast, Paul returns to his home area of NYC to perform and record. When you listen to this podcast you will be privy to some of his new music. (The sound quality of the music may be hampered by recording in zoom and or your audio on the device you may be listening to this podcast.

When Paul spoke of his father he added: " Paul acknowledged that “most of what I am today, I owe to my father…I wouldn’t change a lick, not even a note.” "
A special thank you to Paul Wexler and of course to Betsy Broadman for bringing this phenomenal musician to newclevelandradio.net
