    Aug 28 2022

This episode of based off a recent conversation I had with my wife after watching @Tony Gaskins and @The Table With AO . I agreed with some of things that would being spoken but as thought sometimes we listen to things that don't really apply to our lives. And ultimately, are we listening to those people in our lives.

  • Season 2: Episode 6 - Standards v. Expectations
    Jan 17 2021
It is a new year and we are back at it. This episode is a solo mission where I discuss the difference between standards and expectations in relationships. Expectations can be very detrimental to your relationship and dating life in general. Things like Birkin bag or bust turn intimacy into a transaction rather than building a foundation. • Season 2: Episode 4 - Love and Basketball - How Did the Signals Get So Crossed
    Sep 20 2020

Recently, I noticed that a lot people don't like the movie, Love and Basketball, which is a classic love story in the black community. When asked why people didn't like it, many responses found me scratching my head as to what movie they had watch due to disparity between what the movie portrayed and what viewers said they observed.

I wanted to show the parallels between misinterpreting a movie narrative and how easily we can do that same thing in relationships. The signals become so crossed to the point that a couple may find themselves in two separate relationships and not even know it.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the movie? Did you like the movie? Why or why not? Any questions or suggestions are also readily accepted and appreciated.

  • Season 2: Episode 3 - Long Distance
    Aug 15 2020

I am so excited to welcome back the Queen, Ms. Karen-Leigh, to the show as we discuss long distance relationships.

We get personal as ourselves are currently very far apart. Her being in Raleigh, NC and myself in St Louis. Speaking not only on the struggles, but additionally the benefits of the distance, namely the focus on communication. Also, unpacking traumas and baggage from our childhoods and past relationships.

This remains a judgment free zone. So please understand that these are simply our thoughts. We would love to hear what you have to say on the subject.
