    Meet Miranda. She is a cheerful and happy-go-lucky single girl who just happens to be a dominatrix with a dungeon in her flat where she services clients with flogging and extreme correction and (if she's lucky) gets the occasional slave to pay her for the honour of doing her vacuuming.

    When she's not delivering 30 lashes to the sensitive parts of religious zealots or doing step aerobics in stilettos on the buttocks of retired army officers, she is just trying to get on with the neighbours and make her flatmate, Dan, realise that in spite of what he may think of her job, she could just be the girl of his dreams (and not just his nightmares).

    This a refreshingly funny and joyfully rude sitcom that proudly celebrates sex, nonconformity, and doing the wrong thing.

Somewhat raunchy but hilariously funny!

This and series 2 are both chock full of laugh-out-loud lines. I listened while cooking, and my family kept looking at me quizzically as I repeatedly burst into laughter. The humor is smart and witty, as it seems only British chick lit is able to achieve, although I know I missed a ton of comedic references to British fast food chains and London suburbs. It presents sex work in a positive light - not trying to recruit anyone, but making the case that it should be respected like any other job - so if you have a problem with that, this isn't for you. However, I found the exploration of the day-to-day headaches of being a dominatrix (so many upfront expenses for whips and handcuffs!) hugely entertaining. The actors were great - comedy is all in the delivery, and you could tell these were experienced comic actors. A whole lot of fun. Can't wait for Season ("series" in British) 3!

A Comedy Gem

I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this but I was pleasantly surprised with more laughs than i've gotten out of any previous audiobook i've listened to. I thought it would end up trying too hard with the dominatrix side of things, but it didn't at all. It had a perfect balance of everything! I usually stay away from shorter series like this, but this was well worth my time. I would go as far as to say this was one of my favorite audiobooks i've listened to. In fact, it's the first audiobook i've took the time to write a review for!

Entertaining, I love it!

anytime you hear a podcast and it's entertaining and you look ahead to when the next episode is and what it's about you know that they have head home run. I can't wait to see what kind of shenanigans Miranda gets into with her risque job and her roommate they banter well together. I like the risque the subject matter and being that it's from across the pond makes me want to listen to the accents in the story even more good job! 😄🤩❤️👏👍
