  • 39: The Future Is...
    Jul 9 2021
After two recordings of this episode, the hosts have a lot to say about YA and teen media. The hosts were all right in the target demographic as franchises like Twilight and The Hunger Games dominated the box offices. They talk about how media is marketed to teens, how teens are portrayed, and who is doing the portraying. From the unrealistic pressures put on teens characters, to why death of the artist isn’t a great attitude for teen fiction, and how teens are dressed as well as how teens look and interact with one another.

  • 36: Medical Dramas
    Jun 18 2021
This week Faith is taking the reins and we’re comparing some of our favourite medical dramas. Code Black was maybe good but no one actually remembers enough to be certain? Chicago Med and Grey’s Anatomy have become the means by which all other medical dramas are measured. Stick around for the hour and nineteen minute mark to hear KJ realize they missed a couple BIG shows on the list (we didn’t have time to cover them anyways). It’s an episode filled with a struggle to name nurses, hostile work environments, and Moira making a list of shows to binge next!

And KJ posits her own vision for a proposal between Destiel’s Dean Winchester and Castiel Angel of the Lord. Faith’s pug Frodo makes a guest appearance. And Moira has watched a show that neither of the other hosts have even heard of. It’s an episode of bending the knee and brandishing rings in the name of love. Also we’re sending out a call for creative alternatives to engagement rings, send us a message on social media with your suggestions!

  • 34: First and Last Episodes
    Jun 4 2021
KJ tries a new carbonated water on air and now watches reality TV. The hosts lack context this week as they tackle two sitcoms by only watching the first and final episodes of the show. First, the hosts watch Modern Family and try to figure out what happened to the family in the last eleven years. Then the hosts tune into The Office (US) and are immediately in love with one character, and harbouring a deep hatred for another.

  • 33: Favorite Albums
    May 28 2021
Please don’t stop the music. We promise we’re going to stop talking about Taylor Swift…just not this episode. The hosts have each selected their favourite album of all time, and Moira was the only host dedicated enough to lie and select an album from another artist. While Moira gives praise to a Canadian band, the Hunter Brothers, Faith and KJ can’t stop making Supernatural references and gushing about two different T Swift albums.
