    Meghan's has ten years of experience in sales, and she is here to tell you what it means to REALLY be good at sales.


    Sales is one of those industries where most are not good when they started. Meghan shares insight on her experience in sales and how she wasn't the best when she first started either. There were plenty of days that Meghan had gone without selling something at her retail job.


    Meghan shares that the secret sauce to growing in sales is to show up.


    You are going to avoid sales and say that is it not for you. This mentality stops you from showing up for yourself.


    Most of you are just waiting to be good at sales without showing up or putting in the work.


    The problem with some sales courses is that they are taught from the perspective of what worked for the teacher rather than sales strategies customized to work for you. Once you feel comfortable with the strategies that allow your sales to feel more "you", it gets easier through time.


    To make sales less intimidating, you have to remember that sales is a mixture of three core elements: communication, listening and Sales Psychology.


    Communicate clearly, listen actively, and understand how to use Sales Psychology to your advantage.


    In Sales, it is important to know how to use the information that you have.


    You only get good at sales when you hone-in on your skill, understand and practice it over and over.

    Meghan spoke with Heather Vickery, who has been an entrepreneur nearly all her life. Starting off in luxury events, then wedding planning, Heather says, “[she] works well with people but not for people.”


    Loved the industry she was in; however, life still didn’t stop, what will bring me joy she wondered. She realized people were seeing her as a guide ... as a coach. Heather realized being a coach is what she should lean into.


    Her mission is to help people embody joy and trust in a journey of self-alignment and light up.


    Meghan and Heather talk about how conducting business as usual isn’t the same as conducting business before. They speak upon the importance of fitting in joy, pleasure and rest.


    Finding the balance between doing work and resting.

    Diving into the importance of reflection and how to brave the chance to be disappointed.


    Meghan speaks about the harms of the “I Just Want…” mindset, as it creates a moving goalpost mentality…preventing true reflection of evaluating our milestones and distance to our end goal.

    Heather also shares insight about her Alchemy Incubator program, that is 12 months long, has two retreats and hosts 10 women max. The purpose of this program is to teach women how to lead through the embodiment of joy.

    The first half of the year has passed, we are moving into Q4 and motivational posts are popularizing around the year’s imminent ending. For some of us, the beginning of the year was not our best.


    Imagine you end your year with recurring income, a plan for 2025, and feel confident and comfortable in that.


    How do you start to adjust and get yourself to where you want to be?


    When you learn how to do sales in a way that feels good for you, sales are more natural and rewarding.


    Meghan’s origin in sales started with her last $200 in her account, wondering how people could make millions of dollars on an app that she uses to share photos of and with her friends. Although content creation does not require a “secret sauce”, it is the secret along with sales for business growth.


    When it comes to finishing out your year at a level that you want to be, it is time to be reminded that your Fall Reset is here.


    Resetting yourself is analyzing where you want to be, dissecting what is holding you back, and calibrating a better approach to overhaul where you are at in your business now.

    What do you want to feel like, what will you have wanted to accomplish on the back half of the year.


    Focusing not on how you feel you are at now, in August, but where can you take yourself to by the end of the year?


    Meghan emphasizes the importance of creating a plan, even if life throws you adversity and curveballs that might put up a few roadblocks along your journey. She also talks about the burn out that she experienced when she wasn't planning properly and attending meetings unprepared.


    Remember, you have control. You have control over how you take action and how you show up.


    You still have the rest of the year to exercise that control.


    No matter what your excuse behind why you aren't where you want to be or why someone is more successful than you, you can change the input and you can how you show up.


    It's easy to be reactive in business and give yourself all the reasons why something didn't work out. But that is not how it has to be. You do not have to be reactive. You can be proactive.


    You can make a conscious decision to change how you approach your business.

    Opening up the conversation with what has caused Meghan to care deeply about what others think of her, such as responses to trauma, schools she has attended, and experiences growing up in general.


    Realizing through hypnotherapy, that caring about what others think of her is actually holding her back.


    The fear of rejection is a deep core belief.


    Meghan opens up about her looming anxiety regarding her posts and how that holds her back from creating connections within the online space.


    As a business owner, you find yourself in a space where you could constantly be rejected. Especially if most of your work is in the digital space, most consumers create an opinion of you based off your content, not who you really are even if you are being your most authentic self in your posts. You're more than 15 second, 60 second reels.


    You CAN have both, you can care about what the people closest to you think vs. not holding yourself back on what a general population will think of you.


    Meghan talks about how she comes from a mindset of being "second" in business or management which can be a reflection of a self-esteem.


    Meghan refers to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and how one of the sectors focuses on "Love and Belonging," and how we all deserve and yearn for it this sense of belonging. That is what helps us to feel safe.


    You don't have to be someone's number two. You can take up as much space as you want.
