Saint Philomena – 11 August

  • Summary

  • In today’s episode we try to figure out how important being real is to being a good person with the life(?) and after life of Saint Philomena. From humble beginnings as a pile of dust, she became the daughter of a Greek King and, after several false starts, a martyr. Along he way we meet ham wives, questionable nuns, and have a run in with our old nemesis, Emperor Diocletian (booooooo!). Plus, Anna and Matthew try desperately to scrounge for some corporate sponsorship and ice cream.
