Can't bat, can't bowl but can sledge and with that show mantra, Kev, Finey and S J Peak give their views on the major stories of the week (some stories may appear bigger than they actually are). The 3XY chart this week is just that - WEAK like the Australian batting line up and both cop their rightful whack. No prisoners here, everyone is fair game, from Marnus to Ding Dong, Smudge to Dazza it's shame on.

Finally, Finey's been doing some sticker spotting and does not like what he sees.

  • Some Assembly Required !
    Nov 19 2024

The AFL, the ABC and the FBI all come into the RnR viewfinder this week. The national draft, the AFL fixture and Mike Tyson also have our attention. Ken Francis joins us for his thoughts on the Countdown 50 Year television special. And finally, what gems are unearthed from the 3XY Top 40 from December 1980? It is the usual vat of hot issues, implied scandal and outright fabrications that you have come to expect.

  • A League of Their Own.
    Nov 12 2024

In a packed program this week ... Stephen J Peak proves he is in a league of his own in more ways than one as he remembers his days as part of a women's American football program which turned out to be more NFI than NFL (may contain implied nudity, juvenile themes, preposterous claims of originality and total BS). Finey has some provocative thoughts about the Aussie cricketers' coming series against the Indians and it's not good for Pat's boys. Kev's excited about the return of Yellowstone and not because the horses are faster than the ones Peaky tipped in the Cup. There is our weekly tribute to the recently passed and the duos theme continues with our favourites from sport, music and showbiz.

  • The Brokelads Guide to Irresponsible Rambling.
    Nov 4 2024

The one day of the year we are all racing experts. So match our Ruck 'n Roll panellists with the following classic racing expressions. Who has a head like a beaten favourite? Who looks like he has been in a good paddock? And who needs a few reminders with the persuader to keep his mind on the task at hand? Seems there are no wrong answers here and hopefully nothing but winners in our Cup preview episode. We also talk cricket, footy, those who have left this mortal coil and finish with our favourite Aussie duos.

Grumble responsibly. Chance are you are about to lose the the r in shirt.

  • Our Cup Runneth Over
    Oct 29 2024

It is the podcast that stops a nation! Would you believe it is the podcast that stops a small contingent of unnamed stars of the constellation from self combustion? Moving on to this week's show, where intelligent discourse and razor sharp repartee is found in abundance between trite, flippant comments about horse racing, cricket, football, the dearly departed and over rated songs from international superstars.

Listen responsibly, chances are you are about to lose your tenuous grip on reality.

  • A Revelation, A Revolution and A Revitalization.
    Oct 22 2024

From the RnR concerned citizen file - Brightonian Stephen J Peak reports the locals are revolting! Funnily, the locals say the same thing about him. Finey chalks up tatt #117 and Dad joke #666. Kev has the latest on the AFL, the EPL, T20 and the Cox Plate. Musically, it is under-rated international songs and the boys unearth some unappreciated gems from The Guess Who, Todd Rundgren, The Small Faces and more. Don't miss Finey's exclusive revelation regarding his radio future.

  • Fine Until Proven Guilty.
    Oct 15 2024

Guess who had a hearing, a small win and is feeling pretty good about himself? Guess again, because it is not the show's resident counsel, but in fact the illustrated man has had words, not pictures, and tells the tale.

We have found more words about the AFL Meat Market, the AFLW problem, the Spring Racing Carnival and of course the dearly departed in The Deathalyser.

Musically it is underrated Aussie songs and some rippers get unearthed to enjoy their deserved moment in the sunshine. You may hear Mental as Anything, Goanna, TISM, The Easybeats and Hush in glowing terms or will it be William Shakespeare, Pussyfoot, Joe Dolce or Warwick Capper that rises like a mushroom through the fluent and effluent babble of the boys?

  • Birds, Panthers, Chickens and the odd Human.
    Oct 8 2024

The feathers fly in this episode. Finey is tweeting? But about real birds, not a social media platform, and his Magpies aren't named Daicos. We have gone from footy season to swooping season but still find time for a few thoughts on the Rugby League Grand Final. Stephen J Peak and Kev take time out from their busy schedule of plover swoops and studying the Spring Racing Carnival form to ask and answer some questions re the ridiculous world of footy contracts.

Musically, it is tall poppy time with our trio of musical bon va vonts giving us their most over rated Australian songs, including names like Farnham, Icehouse, Kylie and Chisel !!!
