  • Solo 401(k) DEEP DIVE w/Jordan Sheppherd: Checkbook Control of Your Retirement Account
    Jun 23 2021

Today's episode is a deep-dive into the solo 401(k), which is a 'secret weapon' for solopreneurs. Did you know you can buy cryptocurrencies, gold, real estate, or even a race horse with a solo 401(k)???

Log onto E*Trade and try to buy investment real estate within your IRA. You can't do it. And that's why you need a solo 401(k). Not to mention, the SUPER-HIGH contribution limits.

Jordan Sheppherd has helped hundreds of people set up solo 401(k) plans. He's an expert in this stuff and he's a really cool dude.

Self-direction is an amazing opportunity that I believe all self-employed people should take advantage of. But don't take my word for it; check out this episode and find out for yourself.

Learn more about Jordan's services at www.checkbookira.com.

Disclosure: I hired Jordan to set up my solo 401(k) a few years back, and it was the single most important decision I've made in my retirement planning process.

  • Your First Real Estate Syndication: What It's Like From Beginning To End. Could This Be Part Of Your Retirement Plan?
    Jun 14 2021

What do you do if you want to get involved in real estate as part of your retirement plan, but you don't want to be a landlord? That's easy: Invest in real estate syndications.

A syndication is basically a partnership between a group of investors to purchase some kind of asset. There’s one person or a team of people who act as the sponsor or syndicator, and then there are the investors, who put in money, which is usually used for the down payment, and sometimes partially for improvements to the property, once it’s acquired. Investors in these syndications often receive quarterly distributions, followed by a large payoff once the property eventually sells.

In today's episode, I'm going to run you through my first syndication investment, which I got into in the summer of 2018. My goal is to show you that it's not complicated, and if you get to know the right people, these can be very safe, very lucrative investments.

I believe that real estate can really accelerate the growth of your retirement nest egg, while at the same helping you avoid the volatility of the equities markets.

Check out today's episode and see how easy it is to get real estate into your retirement plan.
