Revolutions

By: Mike Duncan
  • Summary

  • Season 12 premieres Sunday, October 20 – a nonfictional account of The Martian Revolution of 2247. Mike Duncan is taking everything he's learned from 12 seasons of historical revolutions - the repeating arcs, characters, ideas, events, and patterns which all revolutions seem to follow - and created a fictional history of the Martian Revolution of 2247. The series is written from the point of view of a historian working hundreds of years after the Martian Revolution and will be presented in the style and format of previous seasons of Revolutions. It will look, sound, and feel like a Mike Duncan history podcast…but will instead be a fictional narrative of a gripping science-fiction epic. Revolutions is a podcast that covers the great political revolutions that have defined the modern world. Each season is a long-form narrative covering a different defining revolutionary epoch across three hundred years of history. It explores in great detail the people, ideas, and events that challenged and toppled outdated regimes and replaced them with new governments. After more than 350 episodes over ten seasons of narrative nonfiction, the 12th season is a fictional account of the Martian Revolution of 2247.

One of the all-time greats

Mike Duncan is one of the first names in podcasting. He, along with Dan Carlin, set many of the standards for history podcast. You won't find anyone who doesn't know his name in the podcasting world.

One of the greatest podcasters

This gentleman is Mike Duncan author of “The storm before the storm The beginning of the end of the Roman Republic” a New York Times Bestseller ,and soon to be “Lafayette” a soon to be Bestseller.

He does a fantastic job at telling stories he has a “History of Rome” Podcast. He has a long career in this field of media, and does his best to find accurate information or even correct himself when he has made a mistake. One of my favorite Narrators and hope for more content in the future.

Spectacular podcast.

As a history and politics buff I’ve found this to be a great podcast. First listened to it when it first came out but wasn’t able to keep up so need to finish up now that it’s finished. Great wait to hear what Mike Duncan does next..

I have learned more then any College course

Mr. Duncan has a gift for making the story interesting. I have learned more then any College History class I have ever had. The episodes are an hour or so you do not run into information overkill. Collage Professors may even lean how to make there classes more inspiring so as to produce, in there charges ,more then the production of Melatonin.

More Quality History from Duncan

Followed Mike Duncan from History of Rome to Revolutions and he does not disappoint. This podcast does an excellent job of breaking down a difficult subject matter. Studying revolutions can be so turbulent and controversial. Duncan is able to piece together people and events without being overwhelming. Enjoying this!
