Rider Waite Tarot Card Deck=======================I learned how to read cards on the Rider Waite Tarot Deck and the instructor I had said its easiest to have everyone on the same deck when explaining the symbolism. With time, I was able to transfer that knowledge to other decks. If you are a beginner at learning Taro, below are some links to the Rider Waite Tarot Deck to follow along if you need a set of cards. We also have social media channels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and all major podcast distributors such as Spotify, Apple, Audible and many others under the handle @quickLearnQuests. I am focusing mostly on my podcasts and YouTube at the moment, but I will expand into more social media more consistently when I find my feet. Here is my YouTube Channel video for interpreting cards in Three Card Spreads: https://youtu.be/P8En-8-8njk?si=7LIlOsFv9pNZ9iK7 Here is the transcript: Welcome to the "Memorizing Tarot Cards" podcast, your three-minute lessons on learning and memorizing each card using symbolism. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring The Hierophant, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed. The Hierophant upright represents tradition, structured belief systems, and wisdom passed down through established institutions. He symbolizes learning, community, and adherence to spiritual or societal norms. However, when The Hierophant appears reversed, this traditional energy shifts, suggesting a break from conformity, rebellion against outdated norms, or a need for personal freedom and unconventional thinking. The reversed Hierophant often points to a time when you may feel restricted by rules, expectations, or the status quo. It signals an urge to question authority, seek personal truth, and carve out a path that resonates uniquely with you. So what does that mean when we see The Hierophant reversed in a reading? When The Hierophant reversed appears in a reading, it's often a sign to examine your relationship with structure and conformity. This card invites you to challenge the norms and find a path that feels true to you. It encourages you to trust your inner guide over external pressures. It may also indicate that you're in a phase of learning outside of traditional methods. You might be exploring new ideas, teachings, or experiences that are not accepted as the truth by traditional learning. So, what is the best way to memorize The Hierophant in reverse? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Hierophant moment was discovering learning communities. I was writing and delivering training in more traditional ways for a very long time, and I figured this new idea "would never work." The short story, I was wrong. Very, very wrong. The learning community saw a high level of engagement, participation, and learning outcomes. When I was willing to move into the Hierophant reversed and think outside of tradition, I was surprised by what opened up for me in that project, and in my career. That's all for today's episode of The Hierophant Reversed. Remember, to memorize tarot, keep practicing tarot.
