    Born and bred in France, Dr. Six grew up in a culture that is comfortable with sexuality. She moved to the United States at the ripe age of 19 for college, and subsequently pursued a Master of Arts in Psychology, along with a PhD in Clinical Sexology. Ever since, Dr. Six has served as an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco, presented a TEDx talk on sexual performance anxiety in women, and even written a book ‘Erotic Integrity’.

    In this episode, Dr. Six posits that one’s attitude towards sexual desire can have a major effect on their relationships. She further addresses common misconceptions surrounding sexual desire, and shares recommendations on bonding exercises that may help with sexual stimulation. Together, Marie and Dr. Six discuss various obstacles that may arise when attempting to adjust perspectives on sex, and how those challenges can be navigated.

    This week on Reloscope: The Relationships Science Insights Podcast, host Marie Stella is joined by relationships counselor, Hui Wen Tong, to discuss the path from verbal conflict to physical violence and when to take an exit.

    Drawing on various person-centered modalities, Hui Wen Tong empowers clients by helping them address their internal struggles and self-belief systems. Outside the counseling clinic, she is a martial arts instructor with a fourth degree black belt in Ninjutsu, as well as a second degree black belt in Taekwondo.

    In this episode, Hui Wen Tong addresses the importance of creating a safe and non-judgemental therapeutic space for individuals who are dealing with relationship violence, be it the victim or perpetrator. That aside, she highlights triggers and stressors that might increase the likelihood of violence in intimate relationships. Together, Marie and Hui Wen discuss the various challenges that may arise in attempting to leave violent relationships, as well as how to overcome them.
