Dr. Päivi Sillanaukee, MD, Ph.D. is Special Envoy for Health and Wellbeing, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health Finland ( https://stm.fi/en/rdi-growth-programme-for-health-and-wellbeing ).

Dr. Sillanaukee has over 20 years of experience at highest civil servant administrative positions, both from government, including roles as Director General at Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, Ambassador for Health and Wellbeing at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, as well as various additional roles in the public sector at the Municipalities and Special Health care district levels.

Actively participating also in Global Health, Dr. Sillanaukee has chaired and facilitated global multisectoral, multi-partner Health Security collaborations, facilitating capacity building at the country level. She served as Vice chair and member of WHO Executive Board, as Executive President for WHO/Europe Regional Committee, Member of Women in Global Health advocating for Gender Equity in Health, a member of Global Pulse Finland’s health sector advisory board, as Member of Board of Directors, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and Member of the Inaugural Board of Digital Health & AI Research Collaborative (I-DAIR).

Dr. Sillanaukee has also served as the co-chair of the Alliance for Health Security Cooperation (AHSC) and a member of the Steering Group of the Global Health Security Agenda.

Dr. Sillanaukee is skilled in Health Care and Social Affairs management, Health and social service management, Health Security, Universal Health Coverage, Integrated care, Communicable & Noncommunicable diseases, Government, Management, Health Technology & innovation, Entrepreneurship, Quality Management, Interpersonal Skills, Non-profit and for profit Boards.

Dr. Sillanaukee graduated with an MD, PhD, and eMBA from University of Tampere, specialization for Public Health Management, and an Honorary Doctor from University of Helsinki Faculty of Medicine. She also studied humanities and cultural sciences in University of Jyväskylä.

Angela Aina, MPH is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Black Mamas Matter Alliance ( https://blackmamasmatter.org/ ), where she works to convene Black Maternal Health professionals and community-based organizations to develop trainings, programs, quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and black feminist advocacy strategies to advance holistic maternity service provision, policy, and systems change in global public health.

Ms. Aina has over 16 years of public health experience, working in different capacities on projects focused on: incorporating health equity strategies into reproductive and maternal health initiatives; strengthening strategic planning and community-based workforce development; and data collection.

Ms. Aina has previously served as a Public Health Analyst, Health Communications Specialist, and a Public Health Prevention Service Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), working on various issues including Zika and Pregnancy, scientific program management, and 2014 Ebola response staffing.

Ms. Aina holds a Master of Public Health degree in International and Women’s Health from Morehouse School of Medicine where she conducted a sequential mixed-method analysis of the reproductive health attitudes and behaviors of Nigerian-born immigrant women in the U.S., and a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University in Psychology and African-American Studies.

Ms. Aina’s expertise and perspectives on Black Maternal Health has been featured in media outlets, such as the Huffington Post, The Atlantic, the Root, and HLN/CNN. In March of 2020, she was recognized as a 2020 WebMD Health Hero and highlighted as an advocate for Black Maternal Health in Time Magazine. She is passionate about and committed to work that seek to achieve: the self-determination of women of African descent; the elimination of violence against women; the promotion of Black and African women’s rights and leadership; and womanist solutions to social and economic injustices.

Ms. Aina enjoys all things diasporic Black cultural expressions in dance, music, art, fashion, theatre and film.

Dr. Tina Ipe, MD, MPH is Chief Executive Officer at Regen Med Clinic ( https://www.regenmed.vip/ ), a medical practice which provides multi-specialty infusions, cutting-edge treatments such as therapeutic apheresis (plasmapheresis and collections), as well as novel aesthetic treatments, for patients with a variety chronic illnesses.

Dr. Ipe is a board-certified physician and clinical researcher. Before entering private practice, she was Chief Medical Officer at the Oklahoma Blood Institute, Associate Medical Director at Houston Methodist Hospital, and Division Director at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She is an expert in the fields of blood disorders, immunology, therapeutic apheresis, blood banking, and transfusion medicine. She has published more than 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters.

Dr. Ipe received her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and completed her residency in clinical pathology and fellowship in transfusion medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She also has an MPH from Dartmouth.
