    Feb 13 2021
Part I: Thematic Opening Prayer, Intercessory Prayer, Scripture Prayer, and the Lord's Prayer. Part II: Online Christian Church Service with the Liturgy Of The Word Bible & Gospel Readings. READING 1: 2 Kings 2:1-12 PSALM: Psalm 50:1-6 READING 2: 2 Corinthians 4:3-6 HALLELUJAH GOSPEL ACCLAMATION: Pastor David Benic GOSPEL: Mark 9:2-9 Part III: Theme Summary Of Today's Sermon: Transfiguration Sunday celebrates the glorious revelation of God in Jesus Christ and Christ’s manifestation as the fulfillment of the law and the prophets. Jesus’ radiant change of appearance while in the presence of Peter, James, and John on the mountaintop evokes the devouring fire of the glory of the LORD. Here, as at Jesus’ baptism, God claims him as a beloved child, in whom God is well pleased. Christ’s Transfiguration aims at strengthening the apostles’ faith in anticipation of his Passion, and the ascent onto the 'high mountain' prepares for the ascent to Calvary. I pray His transfiguration strengthens our faith. Today is the Sunday right before Ash Wednesday. It is a time to celebrate the Transfiguration of the Lord because this event marked a transition in Jesus’ ministry in which he “set his face to go to Jerusalem”, where he would die. We do not ask for money as many people are unemployed, and therefore we do not receive it. We use our savings which are dwindling, and now we need to ask for your financial help, but only if you are able. • Church Service For February 2nd, 2021 | Fifth Sunday after the Epiphany
    Feb 6 2021
God always wanted us to tell everyone about Jesus. We can lead others to Jesus by living like Jesus. To live like Christ it is necessary to be approachable, accepting, and to love actively. In 2021, and especially with so much pain and death from COVID and the new variants of Coronavirus adapting to become more transmittable and deadly, many of us are in desperate need of Jesus. Many need to experience the mercy and love of God through Jesus for themselves so they can see His light through the darkness.

Thematic Opening Prayer, Intercessory Prayer, and a Scripture Prayer. READING 1: Deuteronomy 18:15-20 PSALM: Psalm 111 READING 2: 1 Corinthians 8:1-13 HALLELUJAH GOSPEL ACCLAMATION: GOSPEL: Mark 1:21-28 Theme Summary Of Today's Sermon: Faith, hope, and love are all in this earthly world that lasts forever. These are the gifts we should pursue with our lives. In 1 Corinthians, Paul describes an abundance of spiritual gifts and ways we can demonstrate Godly living in the world. Even in 2021. 1 Corinthians 13:13 says, “Three things will last forever: faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love.” The purpose of faith is to lead us to know the heart of God. Hope is the expectation, or the certainty, that faith is here. It is the fuel that keeps faith alive in our quest to find love. Love is the result that we see of our faith and our hope. Only the love that God gives you and me can change our world today. And we must never give up or accept failure. Can you imagine what would’ve happened if Jesus would have given up?
