• Ep. #339: Don’t Let Anyone Spoil You! Col. 2:8
    Nov 25 2024

Today, we look at a very sobering passage, and we camp out here for the whole study. Paul told the Colossian church to beware, which we should see as a strong warning, so what was he warning them of? He feared that some man might spoil them through philosophy and vain deceit. He pointed to the root cause as the tradition of men, and after the rudiments of the world. Paul went as far as to say that these things could pull them away from Christ. In our Q&A segment, we respond to this question: I have been in church my whole life, and I have seen a trend in recent years of many churches that are doing away with testimony services… how do you feel about this?
We truly feel this episode is a must, so please listen to it today!

  • Ep. #338: Rooted, Built, and Established, Col. 2:4-7
    Nov 18 2024

Today, we traverse through some really amazing things. Paul was concerned that the Colossian believers might be beguiled because he was absent in the flesh. He told them that he was with them in spirit, and he was thrilled for their steadfast faith. He encouraged them to continue walking in Christ, being rooted, built up in Him, and established in the faith. He wanted them to abound with thanksgiving as well. In our Q&A segment, we were asked a thought-provoking question: A few weeks ago, we turned our clocks back to the original time, and this makes we wonder: Is it a sin for man to change the time, when God created it?
We have a very lively discussion about these things, and several more, but don’t waste any more time, go ahead and listen in!

Today, we finish chapter one and then enter the 2nd chapter. We may have changed chapters, but the quality of the material didn’t change a bit! Paul spoke of how the power of God works in him mightily, and he also spoke of the burden he had to reach the churches. He wanted to comfort them of their full assurance, and of their understanding of the mystery of God. He mentioned something very intriguing as well. He said that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ. In our Q&A segment, we answer a good question: Is it wrong for Christians to have heroes they look up to?
We want to encourage you to give this powerful study a listen!

  • Ep. #335: The Mystery of the Gospel, Col. 1:26-28
    Nov 4 2024

Today, we discuss a mystery that has been around for ages! The good news is that this mystery has been made manifest to God’s people, and it has made known the riches of His glory among the Gentiles. Our hope of glory is Christ in us, and now we have been given a job to do. We are to warn every man, and tell them about Jesus. Paul did this to the best of his ability, and we are to do the same. In our Q&A segment today, we answer this question: I recently attended a wedding, and I noticed that the vows had been reworded from what I remember in our wedding, and the part about the wife submitting to her husband was nowhere to be found…can this still be viewed as a biblically correct wedding?
This is a very challenging episode, and you don’t want to miss out on the blessing God has for you in this study.
Come on and give it a listen today!

  • Ep. #333: The Hope of the Gospel, Col. 1:23-25
    Oct 28 2024

Today, we talk about our need to continue in the faith, being grounded and settled in our faith. We are to never move away from the Gospel, of which Paul was called to minister. We talk about how Paul viewed his ministry, and how he suffered so much for the Gospel. He believed he was called to fulfill the will of God by preaching the Word of God. In our Q&A segment, we were asked a really good question: Our pastor stresses the need for us to witness and try to get people to come to church… is this really necessary? If people truly wanted to come, wouldn’t they do it regardless?
This encouraging episode will benefit every believer, and challenge every unbeliever, so we invite you to listen to it today!

  • Ep. #332: From an Enemy to Unblameable, Col. 1:19-22
    Oct 21 2024

Today, we talk about some more amazing things that Paul told the Colossian believers! He proclaims that Jesus made peace through the blood of His cross, and reconciled all things to Himself. We who were alienated from God, and were His enemies, have now been reconciled to God through the death of Christ. Because of this, we are now unblameable and unrebukable in His sight. In our Q&A segment we were asked an interesting question: With the election coming up, I am not comfortable voting for either candidate, because they are both ungodly in my opinion… is it wrong for me to vote this time?
We talk about all of this and much more… we feel you will miss out on a lot unless you listen to this episode, so go ahead!
