The New Jersey Turnpike Authority on Tuesday voted to approve the $2.7 billion budget for next year, which includes a 3% increase in tolls on the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway. A Northeast Philadelphia post office could soon be renamed in honor of a Temple University police sergeant killed in the line of duty. Upper Merion High School sent a letter home to parents earlier this week alerting them to a case of whooping cough in the school. Montgomery County health officials say, after a high number of cases in the spring through the summer, the numbers are on the decline. The New Jersey Turnpike Authority has voted to approve the 2025 budget, which includes a 3% increase in tolls on the turnpike and parkway.
