Paolo Violi was one of the most well-known Calabrese Mafiosi. On the evening of January 22, 1978, Violi was gunned down in the purest Mafia tradition; during a card game at the Reggio Bar. His bloody end would mark the beginning of a shift of power and of the rise of the Sicilian clan, led by Nicolo Rizzuto and his son Vito.

As the experts in organized crime strongly believe Nicolo Rizzuto ordered the hit, to this day, one question remains unresolved. Who shot Paolo Violi?
