  • Katherine kicks off the show in 2024 with a call-out to both farmers and consumers (i.e. ALL of us) to dispense with the middleman and instead create a new system of working directly with each other to bring more nutritious and varied produce to people in local communities.

    On the back of the farmers' protests currently taking place across much of Europe, Katherine explains how the movement in its current form will not succeed, and suggests alternative ways to remedy the centralised manner in which both the food and farming industries are being controlled and manipulated.

    The Farmer Buying Guide on the website of The People's Food and Farming Alliance (link below) gives tips and advice on how to set up a group to approach farmers (and other suppliers) with a view to bulk-buying directly from them.
