Numerose le novità e gli studi presentati: alcuni di essi - i più importanti - vengono collocati come di consuetudine nelle Sessioni Presidenziali e sono esplicitamente definiti “practice changing”.     Un recente studio mostra la superiorità del belzutifan rispetto all’everolimus in paziente con carcinoma renale metastatico. Le ricerche biologiche e di farmacologia clinica sono state alla base del successo riscontrato nel trial clinico randomizzato. Si trattava di pazienti pretrattati anche con altri antiangiogenici e quindi lo studio rafforza la convinzione che l’effetto antiangiogenico vada mantenuto a lungo.
