Living authentically as a Christian encompasses three vital relationships: with God, self, and others. The foundation begins with approaching God in complete honesty, acknowledging our doubts, struggles, and need for His guidance. This transparency with God sets the stage for genuine self-assessment, where we learn to view ourselves truthfully, neither inflating nor diminishing our worth. In our relationships with others, authentic Christianity creates an environment where people can be themselves without judgment. This genuine approach fosters meaningful connections and allows for the sharing of burdens and struggles. Many people distance themselves from church communities not because of lost faith, but due to encounters with inauthentic Christianity. By cultivating genuine relationships and creating safe spaces for honest expression, we can build stronger faith communities that truly reflect Christ's love and acceptance.

  • The Power of Compassion | Dusty Porter
    Feb 20 2025

Biblical compassion transcends surface-level kindness, calling believers to take meaningful action in helping those in need. This deeper understanding of compassion reflects God's own character - gracious, patient, and abundant in love. True compassion often requires stepping into uncomfortable situations and making sacrifices to care for others, just as the Good Samaritan demonstrated by going above and beyond to help an injured stranger. This Christ-like compassion involves being selfless rather than selfish, taking concrete steps to help those in need, and showing patience and forgiveness. When we demonstrate genuine compassion, it naturally opens doors to share the gospel, as our actions authenticate our words. The greatest form of compassion is helping others know Jesus, which requires both truth and love working in tandem. Small acts of compassion, consistently practiced, can transform both the giver and receiver, creating lasting impact in our communities.

  • Live Well | Robby Williams
    Feb 12 2025

Living with intention means making conscious choices about how we spend our time, energy, and resources, rather than drifting through life or pursuing worldly success. This intentional approach requires monitoring three crucial areas: our decisions, relationships, and resources - much like watching the gauges on a car's dashboard. Our decisions reveal our true priorities, our relationships show where we invest our hearts, and our resource management demonstrates our stewardship of God's gifts. Two major pitfalls often derail intentional living: drifting through life without purpose, or pursuing the wrong goals with great intention. To avoid these traps, we must regularly take inventory of our life's dashboard, examining how we spend our days and whether our priorities align with eternal purposes. This involves pre-deciding how we will live and being willing to make course corrections when needed. The ultimate goal is not just to live purposefully, but to ensure that purpose aligns with God's glory and eternal impact.
