Open Relationships, what comes to mind when you hear this term? Depending on your background, understanding of the concept, beliefs, and experience I would imagine a wide range of ideas come up. Non-monogamy has been practiced since the invention of monogamy. However it is normally done in secret and as a betrayal of the trust in a relationship. In recent years, increasing numbers of couples are attempting to experience the benefits of having other romantic connections while still in a loving and trusting relationship.
