On this short episode of Mission Made, I talk about some things that have motivated me as a kid. We all have them. Some of the motivation we have as kids sticks with us. For me there is one that sticks out the most. It is all about choosing to be blind. I have linked to video below for reference. On this episode a friend of mine, River, and I have a conversation diving into his story. River is a youth pastor, a husband, and a runner. Our friendship is fairly young, but it runs deep as most of our interaction has been in prayer. River was a day 1 guy for the mens prayer group I am a part of. We had a lot of fun with this conversation, I hope you enjoy. River will be a returning guest at some point in the future.

On this episode of Mission Made I got the opportunity to talk with someone who has taken CrossFit by storm over the last few years. He made his first Games appearance in 2024, after being on the cusp of making it for several years.

Besides calling his shots in high level competitions, he has done a lot of cool things adding to his resume. After being declined into West Point, he landed at Ohio State University as a wrestler. He later became an attorney and started practicing for the Army, where he currently serves.

Those all sound like incredible accomplishments, and they are. But what is even more admirable about Jack is his heart of Jesus. You can tell through our conversation that Jesus is number 1, and everything else follows.

This actually allows him to be the best husband, father, soldier, and athlete that he can.
