  • "Spinning Wheels" Ride a Fading Rate Trend - Macro Market Update by Les Parker
    Feb 20 2025

02-17-2025 "Spinning Wheels" Ride a Fading Rate Trend

    -------------------------

What goes up must come down. Spinnin' wheel Bonds go around.

An axiom is not always a truism. Yet, last week, rates rose and fell symmetrically for good reasons. CPI came in hot, and Crude Oil turned cold.

Long-term inflation drives long-term rates, and Oil remained bearish fundamentally and technically. 2 to 30-year Treasury yields contain bulls and bears, but do not be surprised to see the 10-year fall to 4.20 as Oil falls below $70 a barrel.

Ride a fading rate trend. Let the spinnin' wheel fly.
