  • Giorgio attends a colleague's wedding. While waiting outside the church, he meets Lucrezia again, who offers him a ride to the reception. When they arrive at the restaurant, they discover they have been seated together. Lucrezia reveals that she once knew a detective named De Giorgi, who helped her solve a mystery in Malta, unaware that Giorgio himself is that detective. Halfway through the reception, Giorgio's diary activates, transporting him back in time to a wedding in 1995, where he and Joel meet a young bride named Annabel. As they watch, a sudden tragedy occurs: Annabel mysteriously collapses, triggering a new investigation by Giorgio.
