About the Performer

Margaret Ying Drake discovered a passion for voice-over early in her acting career, specializing in children's voices. Her work includes voicing Butterbean in Nick Jr.'s Butterbean's Café, various characters in Nickelodeon animations, toys, and games for Scholastic and PBS, and radio commercials. Drake studied theater at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs and has worked in theater, dance, commercials, and film, most notably appearing in the award-winning They Look Like People and starring in The Siren.

About the Performer

Jim Foronda is a Texas-based voice actor. A former ad copywriter, Jim began voice acting while writing commercials for Hasbro Toys, occasionally being tasked with voicing characters like Optimus Prime and Mr. Potato Head in toy ads. Since then, he’s been all manner of person, monster, robot, and … well, anything … in anime like in My Hero Academia, BLUELOCK, Trapped in a Dating Sim, Spy×Family, Fairy Tail, One Piece, The Apothecary Diaries, Hell’s Paradise, If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan I Would Die, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Fullmetal Alchemist, and much, much more. Also, he voiced Ultraman Taro in the English dub of Ultraman Z, which still kind of blows his mind to this day. Game-wise, he can be heard all over the Borderlands franchise (including Claptrap in Borderlands 3 and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands) as well as titles like Fortnite, Battleborn, SMITE, Paladins, NBA 2K21, Orcs Must Die 3, Hero Academy, and Dungeon Boss.
In his spare time, Jim enjoys photography, games of the video and tabletop variety, occasional trips to Japan, building LEGO stuff, and working on a novel that he will probably never, ever finish. He loves his wife, Karin, and their four cats Takkyubin, Momiji, Ikaruga, and Minobu. Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was 8 years old, Jim wears an insulin pump. By medical definition that totally makes him an actual, for real cyborg. He has yet to jump over a house or lift an automobile with his bare hands.

Creative and addictive!

My son loves this and checks daily to look for the remaining letters. It’s so creative and silly- a great way to encourage a love of sounds and letters. We need the rest of the alphabet!!

An absolutely GREAT listen for kids!

A GREAT way to get kids actively engaged & thinking! “+1 Critical thinking skills for every episode” haha
My kiddo loves listening. I get asked weekly if any new episodes have been uploaded and I sadly reply no.
100% family friendly.
No hidden themes or exhausted rhetoric. Pure, classic fun for kids.
It hasn’t even been a year, but we are excitedly awaiting the rest of the alphabet and we hope for maybe more after that!

There are no other shows like this, perfect for young kids up to even 10+ (although after a certain age, the mystery’s may be a little easy to solve-) still very fun, silly & engaging!

We love this podcast

My daughter loves to listen to the silliness of the nonsensical detective D, and the clever detective d. She has listened to almost all of these and we hope the rest of the alphabet will be done! Please make more!!

We listen on the way to school

My kindergartener loves this. The episodes are a great length; not too long and has plenty to keep her mind busy trying to solve the mystery on our car ride to school. The character voices are easy to follow. Best of all it is tolerable to listen to as a parent. We hope 2024 brings more episodes!

Fantastic and so silly!

This show is so silly and unique, a real breath of fresh air for kids. The detective is bumbling, but maybe not how you expect. and the letters they are following are so funny! Really fun show.
