Don’t let anybody fool you: It’s not charisma! It’s not oratory! Questions are the most important tools of leadership!

With so much on the line, we have to lead better. National, regional & community leaders have to lead better. We have to find the courage to lead ... and lead NOW! And, when we do, we need to lead for change!!

What is it if you're not doing it on purpose? What's leadership without intentionality?

Like the concept of "love thy neighbor", leadership is complex and multidimensional only in its impact, but simple in its implementation.

There is no "one-right-way" to lead. But there is one essential and singular question we need to answer before we lead: WHY?

Teachers teach us one-at-a-time, the same way leaders lead. At some point, we each choose whether or not we want to learn from that teacher, the same way we each make our decision about whether or not we want to follow that leader.

In our leadership roles, every one of us every day makes decisions and takes actions that either advance, stop or prevent racist, sexist or otherwise predictably disparate outcomes. First, let’s acknowledge it! Then, let’s help each other become better antiracist leaders!! We need to do this together … and each of us needs to reflect on this alone.
