Starting in 2011, the band dropped into the WFPK studio to dig into their just-released Green Naugahyde. From there, it’s 2014 when the two talk about Americana music (and his Duo de Twang project), the Primus biography, and their tribute to Willy Wonka. The 2019 interview is with both Les and Sean Ono Lennon where they discuss the Claypool Lennon Delirium, environmental issues, black holes, and Julian Assange as well as Sean reissuing Yoko Ono's albums, covering The Beatles, and Woodstock '94. The next stop is in 2022 to hear about covering Rush, and his thoughts on Maynard James Keenan’s wine, and then we finally arrive in 2023 to unravel his covering Tool and Pink Floyd & upcoming albums with Delirium and Billy Strings.

    Yow discusses how the record came to be, mentioning how band members Dwayne Denison and Mac McNeilly had been working on new ideas without his knowledge. Despite years apart, Yow explained that the band didn’t consciously try to replicate their old sound, but rather let things naturally evolve: “It’s going to sound like The Jesus Lizard no matter what we do.”

    The frontman also reveals the backstory of the song “Hide and Seek,” inspired by Lars von Trier’s film The House That Jack Built. The conversation also covers the track “Lord Gadiva,” a 27-year-old song that the band never released until now.
