• The three types of empathy
    Jul 9 2022

In this podcast, we discuss the three types of empathy:  (1) Emotional:  This is when a person is able to emotionally mirror another person's feelings.  For example, seeing another person cry over the death of a loved one can elicit a crying response in another person because the other person feels the grief of the distressed person at an emotional level.  The ability to have emotional empathy is greatly impacted by mirror neurons.  Psychopaths and some people on the Autism Spectrum (and I do want to reiterate only some) have lowered empathy due, in part, to mirror neuron deficiency.  (2) Cognitive:  This type of empathy is known as perspective-taking.  Through this type of empathy, the person logically knows what to say to comfort the distressed person.  Psychopaths can possess this type of empathy.  (3) Compassionate:  This type of empathy combines emotional and cognitive empathy, allowing the observer to feel along with the distressed person and formulate a way to help them.'  Finally, empathy is not a superpower.  Most of the human population has empathy to enable them to develop attachments to their children and family members.  Empathy allowed us to be part of a tribal unit, which ensured the survival of our species.  Although there may be people who experience emotions to a higher degree due to trauma, there is no such thing as an empath.  Empathy is a common human trait.  Possessing empathy does not make a person special, it makes a person average.

  • Why is society so Polarised?
    Jul 4 2022

In this podcast, we discuss why society is so divided based on political ideologies.  In the past, it was more prominent for Democrats and Republicans to work together, but now, that sense of cooperation is gone.  We posit that traumatic events, such as 9/11, the terrorist attacks in London, and general global disasters have catapulted people into survival mode.  Now, people view the other political side as malicious out of irrational fear.  This mentality is not beneficial for society as a whole.  No matter what your political viewpoint, we must all work together for the common good.

  • Abortion is Murder
    Jun 25 2022

In this podcast, we discuss why abortion is akin to premeditated murder in the context of the recent overturning of RoevWade.  Since 1973, abortion has been touted as healthcare for women, but in reality, the Supreme Court decision has done nothing but legalize the murder of unborn children.

Now, the power to decide restrictions on abortions reverts back to the individual states.

There should never have been a federal law mandating that every state provide abortion.  The premise on which RoevWade was decided was false as Roe later admitted herself.

    Jun 22 2022

This is the last podcast on our series regarding narcissism.  We discuss the devaluation and discard phases of the narcissistic relationship dynamic.  Devaluation is the phase of the relationship where the narcissist is most likely to engage in smear campaigns, verbal and physical abuse, and cheating.  Discard will follow but it will not be final.  The narcissist will always attempt to come back when the new relationship gets boring.  It is important to not re-enter a relationship with a narcissist.

  • Narcissistic Love-Bombing
    Jun 21 2022

We discuss the love-bombing stage of the Narcissistic relationship.  In this stage, The Narcissist makes the love interest think that he or she is their soul mate, that life is perfect, and the Narcissist is their dream come true.  This is done subconsciously.  Ultimately, it binds the love interest to the Narcissist.  The love interest becomes addicted and cannot leave.

  • Narcissistic Seduction
    Jun 21 2022

We discuss the common behaviors associated with the initial seduction by a Narcissist, Unlike the love-bombing phase, the seduction phase of the narcissistic relationship is done before the potential target is met.  It is during the seduction phase that the narcissist gathers personal information about the potential target online in order to mirror their characteristics.  Mirroring is done to make the person believe that the Narcissist is their soul mate.  The seduction phase is quick and is simply meant to get the target addicted to the narcissist.

We discuss practical tips on how to write and format an E-Book for publication on Amazon Kindle.  Firstly, you should write your book in a clear manner.  Before publication, always proofread.  It may be a good idea to get someone else to proofread for you to avoid any critical errors.  Bad grammar can invalidate a good storyline.
