  • Born to an alcoholic mother in Russia, Katerina's first 5 years of life were filled with sadness and trauma as she was moved from house to house; apartment to apartment; relative to relative.

    One night, she walked to her mother's apartment. She called out to her mother on the dark stairwell.

    The only response was, "Go Away, I do not know you!"

    Katerina walked down the steps and to the street curb where she sat in the night crying. Alone, so alone at only 4.

    Then she says that is where her "God Story" began.

    Katarina heard a voice. "You will be alright."

    Suddenly, a strange peace flooded over her.

    While she dried her tears, a police patrol car came and took her to an orphanage, a place for refuge.

    Adopted later, Katerina journeys to the United States and learns more about the source of the voice she heard at 4.
