Dolly Oesterreich was 1930s housewife who was a lady of many lovers and one ill fated husband. 

Zona Heaster Shue was murdered by her husband Edward in 1897. When it looked like he might get away with the crime, her ghost returned to serve him up with some justice. 

Dennis Nilsen was a Scotish born serial killer active in London from 1978-1983. He would likely never have been noticed, much less caught, if he hadn't told on his own self. 

The Hinterkaifeck murders occured on March 31st, 1922 when five members of one family, along with the family's maid, were all killed by pick axe blows to the head. 100 years later this case is still unsolved.
