For Lovers of Story

This podcast routinely makes me laugh out loud. I listen mostly because I love Brandon and Dan's perspective on stories and enjoy their conversations about what they've watched and read and what they're writing, but all the intervening side tangents are consistently entertaining as well. Bad story ideas is probably my favorite "reoccurring segment."

Shooting the Breeze

The premise of the show is that Brandon regularly has to spend time signing books. So, Dan keeps him company and they have a half hour conversation about whatever interests them at the moment and record it.

It is like getting to sit in on 2 friends having a fun discussion. If tangents and very loose structure bother you then this might not be the podcast for you. 😂

I originally wanted to just listen to a specific episode that was recommended by a friend and then decided I needed to listen to this from the very beginning.

This makes perfect background material to listen to when you want to do something else and just half listen as well.

Brandon & Dan: Legendary Authors & Amazing People

I always love Brandon, but I’ve gained a love for Dan too! I feel a kinship with them, and I love discovering new books to read and new movies to watch, whether they are substantially good or bad, just from listening to these greats gab. They are as forgetful and crazy as I am! 😂 This is my new favorite podcast. 💯

Dan Wells and Brandon Sanderson are two of my most favorite authors and it was so fun to listen to them talk and share their nerdiness about LOTR, Star Trek, and meat heists, among many other things.

Simply put, Brandon & Dan know there business.

Best thing about these masterful story tellers is how humble and willing to share in their successes.
Second best thing, they are hilarious while they talk shop and giving interesting insights into many aspect of their craft, the difficulties they face as writers and their methods in overcoming them.
Plus they sound just like me and my friends

What can I say about this podcast other than that it's amazing?!
If you like a structured podcast about one topic, this podcast is not for you.
If you like whimsy, a look into an author's mind, and well the tangential nature that the insight into their thoughts brings then this is the podcast for you.
You never know what you will get when the podcast starts and Brandon and Dan always have something fun and interesting up their sleeves for the listener.
More food heists please!
