Growing up in a rural town where the prevailing career paths were more practical than imaginative, Tom cultivated skills in both. He learned bookkeeping in his family’s lawnmowing business and costuming in theater. The kid who wanted to be a professional wrestler tussled his way through careers as a tattoo artist, cast member at Walt Disney World (FL), and an entrepreneur who founded Dapper Manatee Custom Creations. Sharing his art on social media turned him into an accidental advocate and ally for the injustices he observed at the Disney parks and toward people of color in general.
