About the Creators

Dennis Haley and Marcy Brown are award-winning writers who just happen to be married to each other. (It shortens the commute.) In addition to their Emmy win and nominations, they won the Humanitas prize for Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks. Jakers! also brought them the experience of seeing Mel Brooks read their jokes—and laugh. (There's no statue for that, but it's just as treasured.)
In addition to their screenwriting, Dennis and Marcy have performed stand-up and improv, and visited schools to speak about writing, creativity, and the power of words. Yet their cats remain unimpressed.

Dramatized Mysteries for Little Ones

My 5 year old and I have been having an absolutely delightful time listening to these short little mystery stories. Each story has music, sound effects and different voices acting out the story- with enough suspense to keep your little one engaged. I loved reading Nancy Drew books growing up so this audio experience has been a really fun way to introduce my little one to mystery stories!

Loved these kid friendly mysteries!

My sons, aged 5 and 7, enjoyed this series so much that we listened to all the mysteries more than 5 times each. These mysteries range from 11-19 minutes and have a variety of voices to make each voice individual and clear. The timing, topics of the mysteries, and voice acting were perfect for my boys. The mysteries are engaging by themselves but we loved the interactive feature of solving the mystery during the "fun fact break", and then checking ourselves when the mystery is resolved at the end. We have listened to both volume 1 and volume 2 and wish there were more!

my preschoolers love mike and cleo!

I'm a preschool teacher and this series is part of our rest time routine. the kids love to listen to the stories, and ask for them daily! their favorite is the ghostly guest!

Great quick car listen

My kids (4 &5) love listening to these in the car on the way to and from places. They are perfect at keeping their attention and leaning something new along the way.

This is a really great series in that it’s not too boyish or girlish and isn’t so age specific- great series for any type of family

Very Clever for the Kids!

I just listened to this, and kids will love it! Short and sweet, easy to follow along, but not toooooo easy to figure out. Great acting, very catchy theme song! I can't wait to hear more episodes.

The Kids Are Like Sherlock Holmes and Watson

I got this podcast last year, and the kids in the series are definitely like Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson! I recommend it to anyone that has kids that are interested in Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson Mysteries! I read the children’s versions when I was 7, and that’s when I was first introduced to them in August 2003 when school started back up after my 7th birthday!
