Tonight Melinda and Karen talk about the need for selfcare - too many (women) neglect themselves while placing their time and energy into work, family, and friends. However, we all have been told if we don't put out oxygen mask on first we may not be able to assist others. For many of us we are trying to wear the Super Woman Cape because we think it is expected of us...We need to change the paradigm - without selfcare we eventually become less valuable to others and we fail ourselves. Let's keep the dialogue going and let's make the changes we need to face our challenges and stop bleeding ourselves dry...

Heart Mojo with podcast host Melinda Smith follows the journey of an individual (or individuals) on a journey. As a Cancer Survivor, Melinda empathetically reaches out through podcasting and other social media sites to embrace and create the awareness that we are not 'alone'. This segment took us down a path that many of us avoid to speak about - we all know we will die some day and yet we do not prepare for our departure as well as we do for other milestones in our life. Yes, death is a milestone and for those we leave behind we often leave a trail of confusion and un-needed anxiety.

Welcome Benjamin, David, and Deanne, they share with us how their Funeral is different . Deanne serves as the Funeral Director for the two sided house, Kosher & Non-Kosher. The Jewish side follows the rules of Kashrut for the various sects of Judaism, (Preparation and care of the loved one, according to Jewish rituals.) The team at https://www.clevelandjewishfunerals.com/cleveland-jewish-funerals/ - shares that interfaith families can find their end of life needs met with professional care and acceptance - they take the time to know you (preplanning) and your family to lessen any burden of loss.

This is a conversation we all must have -

Today's podcast was recorded despite the inconsistency of our guests Internet. His story his impactful and we hope you will be able to follow through despite the technical difficulties. We hope to have Jim back on another podcast at newclevelandradio.net.

Jim is not an angry man despite the angry urges he had prior to serving time in Federal Prison. Jim points out that many individuals like himself serving time is due to the poor hand they may have been dealt in life without the guidance on how to turn things around before hitting rock bottom. While serving his time he learned how to survive but also he gained knowledge through training and the eagerness to find a spot in the community where he can make a positive impact.

We thank JIM for his vulnerability.
