• How to Reach Our Culture with the Gospel | Finding Common Ground
    Jul 8 2024

As believers, sometimes it seems we’re living in some kind of weird, upside-down culture where right is wrong, up is down, and sin is to be celebrated. We feel disoriented, like aliens on a strange planet. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out that, sometimes, people may feel a bit disoriented when they talk to us. He’ll show us ways to find common ground, use common language, and capture their interest with our message of hope.

  • Israel: The Key to the End Times | Sunday Message
    Jul 7 2024

Although Israel plays a significant role in Bible prophecy, there is still a lot misunderstood. Pastor Greg Laurie provides clarity on the topic. Learn about God’s plan and how this nation plays a part in it.

    Notes:

    Focus verses: Ezekiel 37 / Romans 11

As the signs of the times increase and get closer together, it reminds us that Jesus’ coming is very near.

The nation Israel is the key to the end times.

The Jews are God’s chosen people, and Satan hates what God loves.

A sign of the end times is the regathering of the Jews in Israel.

    Read: Ezekiel 37:1–6, 11–14

    Israel will be scattered.
    Israel will be regathered.
    Israel will regain Jerusalem.
    Israel will be isolated.

The city of Jerusalem will be a focal point of the end times.

Israel will be “an intoxicating drink,” “a heavy stone,” and “a burden for the world.”
    Zechariah 12:2–3

After being regathered in their land, Israel will be attacked.
    Read: Ezekiel 38:2–6, 10–11

Magog today probably represents the former underbelly of the Soviet Union.

Rosh is the remote part of the North, so it may be a direct reference to Russia.

Gomer is part of modern Turkey.

    Persia is modern Iran.

“Iran clearly knows now how to unlock the doors to a nuclear Armageddon. There is a growing sense in Israel that Jerusalem is quickly running out of time.” —An expert on the Middle East

“Tehran has inserted the nuclear key into the gate lock of Armageddon and is beginning to twist it open.” —Unknown

    God intervenes on Israel’s behalf.
    Ezekiel 38:18
    Read: Romans 11:25–26

A spiritual awakening will happen to the Jewish people.

    Jeremiah 33:23–24

God’s first covenant with Israel was with Abraham, the father of the Hebrews.
    Genesis 12:2–3

God wants to use us to bless the people who have blessed us.
    Romans 11:14

If a Christian is walking with God, others will take notice.

Are you a bridge or a barrier to people coming to Christ?

If you want to win some, be winsome (friendly, kind, and loving).

God says we will never be alone in life.
    Isaiah 41:10

God promises to get us through whatever we’re facing.
    Isaiah 43:2

Jesus promised that He would come again.

God is waiting for the complete number of Gentiles to come to Christ.
    Romans 11:25–26

    Every soul matters to God!

Enoch represents the believers who will not die but be caught up.

God is waiting for that last Gentile to come.

  • Hope for Hurting Hearts | Classic Crusade
    Jul 6 2024

In this classic crusade message, Pastor Greg Laurie offers hope from the Gospel of John. How can we have hope when we’re faced with disappointment and tragedy? We only find hope in a relationship with Jesus.

In John 14:1, Jesus said to His disciples, “Let not your heart be troubled.” Pastor Greg reminds us that these words remain true for us today. In Christ, we have the comfort and assurance that we will spend eternity in Heaven.

He says, “Only the person who has put their faith in Christ as Savior and Lord has the assurance they will go to Heaven.”

  • How to Reach Our Culture with the Gospel | Sharing the Hope of Jesus
    Jul 5 2024

As believers who want to share our faith, sometimes it would seem we’re attempting to deliver a message that many people just don’t want to hear. They think they don’t NEED to hear it. The truth is, everyone needs the hope of Jesus Christ. Today, on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie reminds us that God built us with a hunger for God. People may try to feed that hunger with the things of this world, but sooner or later they’ll come to realize their hunger is for something more.

  • How to Look Up When Things Look Down | From Resistance to Redemption
    Jul 4 2024

Some people come to Christ instantly, as soon as they hear the Gospel. It’s the miracle of a moment. Others resist that decision for decades, until one day they realize their need for Christ. Sometimes it’s a crisis or tragedy that brings them to that point, other times it’s as though their eyes suddenly opened. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie shows us the miraculous conversion of a certain Philippian jailer . . . a conversion that would sweep through his entire family.

  • How to Look Up When Things Look Down | Embracing Vulnerability and Encouragement
    Jul 3 2024

We like to put our best foot forward. It’s a cultural thing. We keep certain things to ourselves. If we’ve just bounced a check, or we’re in over our head at work, or there’s relationship stress—we stay silent on those subjects. But today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out, when Jesus makes His home in our hearts, we give Him permission to explore the hidden issues we’re keeping to ourselves . . . yeah, including the one you’re thinking about right now. Let’s get some good encouragement.

  • How to Resolve Conflict | Scriptural Solutions for Conflict Resolution
    Jul 2 2024

In so many arguments, as one person is making her point, the other person is formulating his response. He’s not really hearing her point, he’s preparing his counterpoint. It’s tactical gamesmanship, and they’re keeping mental score. Hopefully that DOESN’T sound familiar. But if it does, today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie helps us learn to resolve conflict by following an example we see in Scripture. Today, practical help for everyone.

  • How to Resolve Conflict | Grace and Humility: Navigating Relationships
    Jul 1 2024

Disagreement and conflict is almost inevitable in human relationships. When that happens, some people put up their fists . . . others call up their lawyer. Others look up the Proverb that says a soft answer turns away wrath. In the big picture, those moments can either undergird our efforts to share Christ, or undermine them. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie helps us deal with everyone in a spirit of grace and humility. We’re in Acts chapter 15.
