Gable Tostee - The Interview

  • Summary

  • They both wanted uncomplicated, fast sex, and hooking up on the dating app Tinder was the perfect way to do it. But when Gable Tostee met Warriena Wright in 2014, their night of passion ended in death. That was horrific enough, but what drew further condemnation was Tostee’s apparent disregard for Warriena in the seconds, and minutes after her fatal fall. Tostee found himself charged with murder. What followed was one of the most divisive court cases in Australia’s recent history. In 2016 Tostee was acquitted of the murder, largely because of the audio of Wright’s final moments…which oddly, Tostee had recorded on his smart phone. After the court ruling, Gable Tostee broke a two-year silence and sat down with reporter Liam Bartlett for an extraordinary interview.

Interesting perspective

I don’t know this case & I’ve never heard this story. But based off of what I heard, this guy was intoxicated too. Was he slurring as bad as the girl, I don’t think so. But he sounded intoxicated. Yet the interviewer keeps attacking the decisions he made that night. He was drunk! People don’t think rationally or logically when intoxicated. Drunk girl didn’t go out the front door. Why? Because she was intoxicated and not thinking clearly. If she was sober, she wouldn’t have tried to climb down the balcony (I saw a photo of her legs dangling & I assumed she was trying you climb down). This was horrible! That poor girl. But man, the interviewer needs to be educated about how alcohol impacts the brain.
