    Faith-Based Financial Clarity Tanya Akimenko

"With tax season just around the corner, have you ever wondered if you're truly prepared to handle your business or podcast finances like a pro? Whether you’re juggling receipts, unsure about deductions, or just hoping the IRS doesn’t come knocking, today’s guest is here to show you how to take control of your financial affairs, honor God through good stewardship, and set your business up for success—just in time for tax season!"

"Today’s guest is Tanya Akimenko, a Christian business owner and seasoned tax accountant with a passion for empowering small business owners and podcasters to take control of their finances. Her agency is called the, “Golden Apple Agency.” Within the agency, she has created a “DIY Business Success program.”

Through her agency, Tanya equips entrepreneurs making under $250K annually with practical tools, training, and expert guidance to manage their finances responsibly. Grounded in the principles of faith and stewardship, Tanya’s mission is to help entrepreneurs honor God with their resources, gain clarity in their financial decisions, and build a strong foundation for lasting growth."

Help me welcome to the program, Tanya Akimenko! Tanya, I appreciate you taking the time to come ourprogram today and share all about this very important topic – especially at this time of year as almost EVERYONE is preparing for that all important date of April 15th and taxes! … Amen.

The first question I always start with is this. Other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Tanya Akimenko?”

How long have you been doing accounting, business accounting, tax preparations, etc.?

Tanya, as a seasoned tax accountant and entrepreneur, what inspired you to create the DIY Business Success program, and how does it uniquely empower small business owners to take charge of their finances?

You’ve emphasized the importance of stewardship in business. How do biblical principles like Proverbs 27:23-24 and Luke 16:10 shape the way you approach financial management and train others through your program?

We deal a lot…and I mean “a lot” with podcasting and other podcasters in our ministry. As podcasting grows in popularity, many entrepreneurs are launching shows as part of their business strategy. What financial considerations should podcasters keep in mind when starting or maintaining a podcast?

Some podcasters may wonder if their podcast qualifies as a business or a hobby. What criteria should they consider, and why is this distinction so important for tax purposes?

For podcasters looking to monetize their shows, what financial strategies or tax implications should they be aware of to ensure they’re prepared for the added income?

Should they be preparing like this even before they earn income?

Give us some information on the IRS qualifications for something that almost every podcaster thinks they can claim – the “home office deduction!”

Tanya, this is all so interesting. I know that your DIY Business Success program has been a game-changer for so many small business owners. What makes this program different from other financial coaching services, and how does it specifically help entrepreneurs take control of their finances while honoring their faith?

Tanya, as I said, I find this so interesting. I know the information we discussed today is just, basically a “gloss over” because, in reality, each person and each business is different. But I believe our discussion today has resonated with someone somewhere… amen! And if someone now has a question or would like more information – how can they get in touch with you?

I’ll put links to all of this in the show notes below

    Folks, you...
